Artist Profile
My goal is to capture a mood. I like to show light and how it travels, where it lands and how it can change colour. I strive to express the familiar and communicate a common thread among my subjects to my viewers. “I want to tell a story with substance".
My passion for art parallels my passion for life. As I grow as a person and evolve as an artist, I hope enthusiasts of the arts will enjoy the fruits of my commentaries on the world around me – and in the end, the one that surrounds us all.
What obsesses me, what I dwell on, what excites me, things that keep me awake at night, these are what I'm drawn to paint. Not the fact that something is perfect, straight; but that it endures with personality and uniqueness. When painting I aim to capture a feeling and mood without referencing the object/subject so directly. I continue to strip down and fine-tune a scene to its most harmonious composition with rebellious and explosive energy.
